Biography
Yuen Yung is Co-Founder of HalBar Partners. Based in Austin, Yuen directs the integration of fund execution with investor relations and is responsible for regulatory knowledge, firm communication and overall firm operations. Author of The Blind Grind® and The Business Model Blueprint®, Yuen is recognized both in the investment community and beyond. For example, on ABC’s Shark Tank in 2013, he received the highest investment offer in the history of the show from investor Kevin O’Leary for Yuen’s fast-casual, sushi restaurant franchise How Do You Roll?. Before joining HalBar, Yuen was CEO of Casoro Group, Managing Partner of Kenty, Yung, Ozias & Associates, as well as a developer of commercial retail. He is an active philanthropist, including board and mentor positions on the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce, The Thinkery, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Ignite Accelerator, Founders Firm, and INCubatoredu. Yuen is a Board Certified Financial Planner, holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an Entrepreneurial Masters from MIT.
