Nate Wasson, Founding Partner
With over 20 years of experience providing guidance for investors and businesses alike, Nate seeks to fuel HalBar’s success with his abundance of passion and domain expertise.
He learned invaluable skills under some of the biggest names in finance. Those include: Nobel Laurite Robert Schiller, David Swensen, and AJ Wasserman. Nate’s unparalleled work ethic and attention to detail, forged success for many firms that he had worked with thereafter.
Nate is also co-founder of the Midwest Family Office Forum, founding member of the Kieretsu Forum Chicago, Chair of the DuPage Foundation, and founding member of the Chicago Philanthropy Roundtable. Nate seeks to continue his career success with his unwavering dedication to HalBar Partners.
Yuen Yung, Founding Partner
As the former CEO of Casoro Group, Yuen yields an impressive background of successful business and real estate investments. Characterized as a savant in his field, you may know him from his appearance in ABC’s Shark Tank where he received the largest investment offer at the time from Kevin O’Leary for his acclaimed restaurant franchise How Do You Roll.
Yuen’s meticulous approach to business and investing led him down a path of notable achievement. For 13 years, Yuen oversaw advisors responsible for over $300M in funds raised for Kenty, Yung, Ozias & Associates.
Yuen serves as a board member and chairman for the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce and volunteers as a mentor for Ignite Accelerator, Founder’s Firm and INCubatoredu. Yuen is steadfast on his goals to augment success for HalBar, and to enrich society as a whole.
